Welcome note to our English Speakers

Welcome:

This space has been created in order to inform about the situation in museums and cultural institutions in Venezuela. Apart from being an open space to talk about art and culture, we hope that this blog provides the opportunity to share our concerns.

This initiative arises thanks to the usefulness that Twitter has as a communication tool among Venezuelans and the world.  We created the Hashtag # SOSmuseosVE, still in use (mostly for Spanish speakers), given the deterioration of Venezuelan cultural institutions and the closure of two major museums in the city of Caracas: Museo Alejandro Otero and the Jacobo Borges Museum.
